MAPUSA: A main water pipeline burst near the Aldona Junction along the highway in Mapusa on Saturday evening. The rupture resulted in the wastage of thousands of litres of water, while taps across the region continue to run dry, underscoring the alarming mismanagement of this precious resource.

The burst pipeline sprayed a massive quantity of water into the surroundings, creating a distressing sight for onlookers.
