This is to bring to the notice of Chief Officer of Mormugao Municipal Council, Vasco that waste is being set on fire regularly these days inside the Municipal Garden located on the Swatantra Path, Vasco.
This, apart from creating smoke pollution could also be a serious fire hazard, especially in the summer season where the temperatures are very high. As you are aware, there are fire incidences occurring every now and then thereby destroying properties of lakhs of rupees.

The burning of waste in open is not permitted as per the orders of the National Green Tribunal and the Supreme Court and therefore you may be liable to pay a huge fine on that count. It is requested to look into this issue seriously in the interest of public at large.
