Carambolim football ground comes under the purview of Sports Authority of Goa. For the last 15 years, the SAG has given a contract to the contractor to do proper work on the ground. Unfortunately, nothing seems to have been done so far. There is no drainage and after the heavy rains the water gets collected on the ground looking more like a pond.
With this situation, the village youth miss the opportunity to play on the ground or organise football or cricket tournaments.
I request the concerned authorities to look into the maintenance of the ground at the earliest.
