Of late there have been a few incidents of cars suddenly catching fire for no apparent reason. This has led to loss of property though fortunately there has been no case of the occupants being hurt.
It must be said that the prime reason for cars catching fire could be a short circuit in the electrical wiring of the car. It would hence be advisable for car owners to carry out any electrical repair work with the professionals or the service centres.
A car mechanic who is not experienced with the intricacies of electrical wiring in the cars may not be in a position to do a satisfactory job which could result in a short circuit in the car leading to a fire. It is better to be safe than sorry as a wrong decision by the vehicle owner could result in a loss of property and even life.
