There is a pole at St. Cruz just a few metres away from the panchayat office opposite Canara Bank which is above the vegetables, fish market, shops and liquor bars for years together in the same place. There are no sign boards warning of danger.
The concerned authorities need to inspect this electric cum telephone cables encircled pole which has a deep cut as those electric poles at its side lie in a bizarre condition with electric wires looking like a honey comb. This pole, with a deep cut at the bottom, is about to come down anytime and is likely to cause a tragedy due to electric shock to school children and even the usually moving innocent cattle. I appeal the concerned authorities to take immediate action in averting a tragedy.
