Recently there was a loud boost from the successive MLAs of the constituencies that roads have been widen for the public motoring safety announcing the expenditure figures not in thousands but in crores of rupees for public safety. Also an initiative was drawn to trim the road side monsoon grown grass, shrubs and bushes with trimmer machine i.e. to give the motoring public a clear vision ahead before the Ganesh festival under the jurisdiction of different constituencies.
According to the government the trimming work was started as schedule but the waste area of remote roads are left untouched (see the road in one constituency — Gavar). The monsoon grown bushes had narrowed crossing the white boarder marking) but the trimming work is done where there are houses. More surprising is that the grass and bushes grown inside the wall compound of influential people are only trimmed.
Trimming the grass and bushes where there are only houses and neglecting the remote areas of motoring safety is the ambition of every MLA’s slogan boost of all round development to fool the public and fill up their vote banks. There is likely no authority to question the MLAs, Municipalities and Panchayats’ audacity in the matter.
