Citizens of Panjim are facing hardship of maneuvering the uneven and bumpy newly-constructed road from Miramar to Dona Paula.
These days you can find now footpath of this road, at the seaside, are dug up at a number of places for detecting fault on heavy-duty underground cabling ( see photo).
The senior citizens and the residents of Caranzalem, Taleigao and Dona Paula find difficulty during their regular walk for quite a long time now. There are a number of trees and you see number of vehicles parked on the footpath itself (see photo) which creates obstacle for the daily walkers.
Fault-finding the underground cabling fitted earlier is taking some time. Because of that the tiling work has been lifted at many places, hence the illumination work connecting to the lighting poles is getting delayed. ( see photo).
Everybody is complaining that there is no illumination on the roadside and we feel there could be chances of fatal accidents on this Miramar – Dona Paula road at anytime.
