‘Civic services cannot be taken for granted’

The Corporation of the City of Panaji is facing a major crisis after its temporary workers involved in garbage collection went on strike after a meeting with the administration. The CCP has alleged that representatives refused to take calls that were intended to invite them for meetings and instead preferred to try and intimidate the workers who had joined work. CCP Commissioner Sanjit Rodrigues speaks to Herald on the vexed issue that has held the city to ransom for the past four days.
