Threatens units at Sanguem of action if they don’t stop polluting nature

SANGUEM: Sanguem MLA Prasad Gaonkar threatened strict action against companies operating at Sanguem Industrial Estate if they continue to play with the health of the people and did not take immediate precautions to stop the effluents being released in the open area by the fish packaging company. 
During a site inspection it was also revealed that effluents from the fish plant were released in an abandoned quarry located few metres away from the factory.
Gaonkar also threatened to take strict action against companies that do not recruit locals at the Industrial Estate. Companies found acting against the recruitment rules would be taken to task, Gaonkar warned.
