PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant along with three Cabinet ministers and government officials left for Delhi on Sunday.
During the visit, Dr Sawant, Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant ‘Babu’ Kavlekar, Social Welfare Minister Milind Naik and Speaker Rajesh Patnekar will call on Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda on Monday, with respect to pending issue of inclusion of Goa’s Dhangar community in the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category.
Thereafter, the Chief Minister along with Milind Naik and PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar will meet the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari to discuss all issues related to National Highway projects in Goa.
During the visit, the CM will also attend the signing of MoU between the Directorate of Mines and Geology and the Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (MECL) for exploration of iron ore reserves in the State.
