The delegation led by GUJ president Sadguru Patil sought his intervention to save the paper.
Parsekar gave a patient hearing and expressed grave concern over the fact that the only newspaper in official language was facing closure after 27 years.
Considering the seriousness of the issue, he promised to look into the matter on priority basis. He was deeply concerned about the fate of 27 employees.
