The party that has begun awareness camps among farmers clubs, tenants associations and mundkar associations has also asked for establishing of special revenue courts to deal with tenancy cases in a time-bound manner.
Speaking to media persons, AAP ad-hoc secretary Valmiki Naik said the amendment calling for tenants to file cases in civil courts was daunting to tenants. “Tenancy cases have henceforth to be filed before civil courts instead of mamlatdars. This will cause much hardship to tenants as they have to gather documentary evidence which is next to impossible and they will have to engage lawyers compulsorily which will increase cost of litigation,” he said.
