Addressing an impressive anti-Mopa rally organised by Cavelossim Villagers Forum and the tourism stake holders from the Leela beach to Cavelossim Church on Sunday morning, Fr Eremito displayed a list containing the names of persons who have purchased land at Mopa, saying that Parsekar has purchased land at Mopa in the name of Kapila dairy
Referring to the statements made in certain quarters that the anti-Mopa movement launched by Goans for Dabolim Only (GFDO) has no backing of the Archbishop or the Church, Fr Eremito proudly announced that the Bishop and the Church has come out in favour of the anti-Mopa movement with the Council for Social Justice and Peace issuing a statement why Mopa should not become a reality.
Various studies clearly state that two airports are not feasible in a small state like Goa, Fr Eremito said.
