PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday said that an external agency will conduct an audit of roads and once the final report is received, contractors and engineers will be held accountable and will be directed to fix the roads.

Road repairs are currently delayed due to rain. The provisional report was received by the government on Friday, Sawant said during ‘Hello Goenkar’, a live phone-in programme.
The government is also drafting a scheme to provide affordable houses to the people across the State. Residential flats will be built on land owned by the Goa Housing Board or Revenue Department within next two years.
The Chief Minister said that the government will soon enact a law making it making for owners to register their ferocious dogs like pitbull and rottweiler and will also be held liable if their pet dogs bite someone.
