MARGAO: Cuncolim Municipal Council on Wednesday demanded full compensation from GSIDC to the victims hit by the July 2 floods.
At the Council meeting held this evening, the civic body pointed out that the floods were caused by the temporary diversion erected in the rivulet by the GSIDC contractor.
CMC Chairperson Devendra Desai informed that the Council has decided to write to the GSIDC to compensate the victims fully.
The Council also questioned the GSIDC for its statement that the flooding was also caused due to release of water from the Selaulim dam.
