A major accident occurred near the Aldona–Corjuém bridge on Saturday evening when a two-wheeler collided with a car, leaving two youths critically injured.
According to eyewitnesses, the two-wheeler rider, accompanied by a female pillion rider, was heading towards Corjuém when the car suddenly attempted to turn, resulting in the collision. Both the rider and the pillion sustained serious injuries, with the young woman suffering severe leg wounds and the rider sustaining a head injury.

In response to the incident, Aldona MLA Adv. Carlos Alvares Ferreira urged the public to avoid speeding and exercise caution while travelling on busy routes.
