PANJIM, JULY 2 Goa State Pollution Control Board has issued notice to 21st Century Company to suspend operations allegedly for causing pollution at its factory in Pernem.

Goa State Pollution Control Board has issued notice to
21st Century Company to suspend operations allegedly for causing pollution at its factory in Pernem.
The notice for suspending operations was issued today by the GSPCB following an enquiry into the matter on receipt of complaints.
21st Century has bought the company which was formerly called Vishwas Steel from an auction held by Economic Development Corporation. The company is into manufacture of  ingots for iron rods.
Sources said the decision of the GSPCB is to be implemented by deputy collector.
