PANJIM: Vishnu R Tivrekar, personal secretary to Power Minister Pandurang Madkaikar, on Monday filed a complaint at Old Goa police station against Sanketa Ghadi, a resident of Surla for posting false information on Facebook regarding the death of the Minister.
According to sources, Ghadi on August 19 had posted false news on Facebook that Madkaikar was no more. “I am directed by Minister Pandurang Madkaikar to register a complaint/FIR against Sanketa Ghadi, a resident of Surla, on the subject cited above. It is therefore desired by Minister to conduct a detailed investigation in the matter by registering FIR and take immediate appropriate action,” the complaint by Tivrekar says.
Old Goa Police are yet to file an FIR and have forwarded the complaint to SDPO Panjim.
