MARGAO: The Margao Town Police arrested a coolie on charges of attempt to murder following a scuffle with another. The victim was seriously injured after he was attacked by the accused with a sharp object. He was shifted to GMC while the accused, who was also injured in the scuffle, has been admitted to Hospicio.
The incident occurred near Gandhi Market opposite a jewellery store in Margao at 5 pm wherein the two got into a scuffle over reasons unknown. The accused Mohammad Zamir stabbed Pradeep Mane with a sharp object, who was taken in an ambulance.
Meanwhile, the police arrested the accused Zamir and have booked the accused under Section 307 for attempt to murder as he is undergoing treatment in Hospicio.
