“According to an eyewitness, the girl had gone to fetch water on the other side of the road and was returning home. While crossing the road a speeding Maruti Zen Estilo Car, proceeding to Verna from Cortalim, hit her killing the teenager on the spot,” police said. The driver lost control of his Estilo car and hit two scooters parked along the road side.
Police have registered the case and is likely to arrest the driver of car.
