The Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council convened its first meeting in five months on [insert date], addressing several key issues affecting the local community.
Among the major agendas discussed were the formation of a Child Protection Committee, reduction of gym rent at the old building, and the long-pending house tax waiver previously assured by the Chief Minister. Council members noted that a letter regarding the waiver was sent six months ago, but no response has yet been received.
The council also deliberated on the newly renovated Kada Hall, deciding that the facility will be outsourced after its official inauguration.
Addressing concerns over garbage dumping near the KTC bus stand area, Chairperson Prasanna Bhende explained that the location was being used temporarily due to the unavailability of an alternative site. “Whatever we wanted to dump, we have dumped. We will not dump more,” Bhende assured.
The meeting marks a step forward in addressing both administrative and civic issues in the Curchorem-Cacora region.
