CURCHOREM: Curchorem police arrested 20-year-old Swapnil alias Rushikesh Anil Naik from Madegal, Cacora-Curchorem on Thursday for allegedly cheating and duping four youth of Rs 10.73 lakh, by promising government jobs.
According to police, Naik cheated and duped four youth, including a girl, promising government jobs in Sarva Shikesha Abhiyan (SSA) claiming that he is the president of the SSA.
Police informed that Tarun Chand Parasram Jolle from Jarkhand lodged complaint stating that Naik took Rs 5.50 lakh from him offering job in SSA and kept him for 15 days at a hotel room at Palolem-Canacona where he had given him fake appointment letter and ID card.
