MARGAO: Twenty-four-year-old car driver Nathaniel Menezes from Curtorim who was arrested in connection with the fatal accident reported at Gandhi Road at Raia, which claimed the lives of Kennedy D’Costa and his wife Noella Fernandes from Curtorim was released on bail by the JMFC.
It may be recalled that Maina Curtorim Police arrested Nathaniel for driving his car in a rash and negligent manner and causing for the death of the couple. The fatal accident took place at Gandhi Road, Raia Sunday late night.

It may be recalled that the after the accident, the accused driver fled without providing any medical aid to the couple and without informing the police. The police have attached the vehicle involved in the accident.
Police said that based on the complaint an offence under Sections 379 and 304 A of the IPC and Section 134 (a) 134 (b) of Motor Vehicle Act has been registered.
