PANJIM: The State government has increased the Dearness allowance (DA) for its employees and for its pensioners by four per cent with effect from January 1, 2023.

An Office Memorandum in this regard was issued on Wednesday by Finance department, wherein they said that the increased DA will be paid to the employees from the month of April onwards along with the arrears of the months from January to March.
With hike, the DA has been enhanced from 38 per cent to 42 per cent. The State government has adopted the memorandum dated April 3 issued by the Central government for enhancement of DA.
