PANJIM: The proposed Defence Expo at Quitol has run into troubled waters with a complaint sent to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The Association of Components of Comunidades has lodged a complaint with Central Bureau of Investigation, Goa, alleging that the State government has fraudulently grabbed the land.
“The land in question is grabbed (by the State government) by ignoring the kind of objections raised by the concerned attorney of the village community or comunidade of Quitol…” the two-page complaint copy reads.
The complaint lodged by the association’s secretary mentions that the government is under statutory obligation to provide at all times assured and guaranteed State Administrative Tutelage – both preventive and curative in nature – to the concerned ‘Gaunkars’ of Quitol.
Seeking action into the alleged fraud, the association mentioned that Goan citizens should not be cheated or fooled by political forces in the name of the government.
“Such persons have fraudulently grabbed the political powers of the State to exclude the legitimate representation from the village communities of Goa from all political bodies…” the complaint says.
