PONDA: Twenty-three-year-old Collem resident Rudresh Gokuldas Gaonkar, who sustained serious injuries in an accident reported at Pratap Nagar, Pilliem-Dharbandora, succumbed to his injuries at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim.
Gaonkar sustained serious injuries after falling off the two-wheeler while trying to avoid the cattle on road. He was moved to Pilliem PHC at Dharbandora and was later shifted to GMC where he succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, in another accident reported at Petke-Dharbandora, four car occupants were injured when their vehicle overturned. The car was proceeding to Mollem from Ponda.
