Earlier, a minute of silence was observed as requested by Sarpanch Mrs Edcy Fernandes in honour of late panch Agostinho D’Costa followed by a felicitation programme, wherein Zilla member Edwin Cardozo was the chief guest while Mrs Felicia Rodrigues an ex-sarpanch was the guest of honour. Students who excelled in studies and a panchayat staff who completed 25 years of service were felicitated.
The gram sabha resumed after the felicitation programme, wherein irregular power supply was discussed and the villagers resolved to gherao the department so that it solved the problem.
Panch Dominic Noronha brought to the attention of the gram sabha filling in low lying field at Sarzora in survey no 97/1, which he claimed, would lead to flooding in the village.
It was unanimously resolved to write to the TCP and the Sarzora panchayat objecting to the land filling.
