PERNEM: The Pernem police on Friday arrested Rajappa Ganesh, r/o Gangur, Shimoga, Karnataka and Surya DV Venkatesh for illegally trespassing into a hostel and stealing valuables worth over 2.5 lakh.
Police stated that the complainant Mithali Gupta, a resident of Ankleshwar-Gujarat, stated that an unknown person entered into the Imagination Artists’ Hostel at Pernem Road–Arambol and stole her laptop, mobile and other electronic items.

Police investigations revealed that two persons were trying to sell used electronics items nea Seagull Restaurant at Tembwado-Morjim. PSI Harish Vaingankar and his team then reached at the site and noticed the duo sitting in a Baleno car bearing registration number GA 08 V 5953, and were trying to sell the said items. On noticing the men in uniform, the two fled but were nabbed after a hot chase.
