A high-level team of the Election Commission of India (ECI) will visit Goa on October 7 and 8 to review preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections.
The team, led by Senior Deputy Election Commissioners Manish Garg and Pawan Kumar Sharma, will hold meetings with senior election, police and district officials during the two-day visit.

The review will cover various aspects of poll preparedness, including voter registration, enforcement measures and other arrangements for conducting the elections. The ECI team is expected to assess the progress made by the State election machinery and discuss measures required to ensure the smooth conduct of the electoral exercise.
The visit comes as Goa steps up preparations ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.
