The Goa government is set to regulate kayaking activities in the State’s hinterland, with designated points expected to be demarcated within the next seven to eight days.
Tourism Minister said the move follows High Court intervention and is aimed at ensuring kayaking operators function within identified and regulated areas. The initiative forms part of Goa’s “Beyond Beaches” tourism strategy, which seeks to expand visitor experiences beyond the coastline.

The approach includes promoting hinterland tourism along with culinary, wellness, adventure, Ayurveda, yoga and spiritual tourism, while introducing greater regulation for adventure activities conducted at inland locations.
