PANJIM: The Panjim zonal office of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued notice announcing that it has taken possession of immovable properties measuring 1.2 lakh square metres at Churiemolla belonging to M/s Magnum Minerals Private Limited in connection with investigation conducted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), related to alleged illegal iron ore mining in the State.

The two properties measuring 68,500 sq mts and 51,500 sq mts are situated in Survey No. 138/0 at Churiemolla. The properties were provisionally attached by the ED in May 2023 and subsequently confirmed by the Adjudicating Authority in October 2023.
The Enforcement Directorate has now prohibited and retrained from transferring or charging the aforesaid properties by sale, gift, mortgage, pledge or otherwise in any manner whatsoever until further orders of the ED, Panjim zonal office.
