The parishioners of Chinchinim came together on Sunday to celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Hope at the village church dedicated to the patroness. The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Fr Edison Fernandes, professor at the Rachol Seminary, who served as the main celebrant. He was joined at the altar by several concelebrants, adding to the spiritual fervour of the occasion.
The liturgy was marked by devotion, hymns of praise, and prayers seeking the intercession of Our Lady of Hope for peace, harmony, and blessings upon families. Parishioners, along with devotees from neighbouring villages, participated in large numbers, underscoring the significance of the annual feast in the local faith calendar. The celebrations also reflected the deep-rooted traditions of the Goan Catholic community, where feasts remain a blend of faith, culture, and fellowship.
