Chief Electoral Officer Sanjay Goel has clarified that voters will be able to confirm whether their names are officially included in the electoral roll only after the final list is published on February 21.
He said the process of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) has been completed, during which more than 2.2 lakh notices were issued to verify voter details across the state. All hearings related to these notices have now concluded.

As a result of the verification exercise, over one lakh names have been deleted from the draft electoral roll. These include voters who have shifted residence, were untraceable, found to be deceased, or were already enrolled in electoral rolls elsewhere.
The Chief Electoral Officer emphasized that the revision exercise aims to ensure greater accuracy and integrity of the voters’ list ahead of future elections.
Voters whose names do not appear in the final electoral roll after February 21 will have the option to file an appeal within 30 days from the date of publication.
Citizens have been advised to carefully check their status once the final roll is released and take timely action if any discrepancies are found.
