Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Saturday announced that Racing Promotions Pvt Ltd (RPPL) has entered into a three-year agreement with the Goa government and the GMR Group to host Formula 4 racing events in the state.
The Chief Minister said that the infrastructure developed at Mopa for the races will remain in place over the next three years, ensuring continuity and enabling smoother organisation of future motorsport events.

“This long-term arrangement will help establish Goa as a consistent venue for Formula 4 racing and create a solid foundation for expanding motorsport activities in the state,” Sawant said.
The agreement is expected to significantly enhance Goa’s profile as an emerging motorsport destination, while also opening avenues for attracting more national and international racing championships in the future.
Officials believe the initiative will not only boost sports tourism but also generate economic opportunities through increased footfall, hospitality demand, and associated services.
With a multi-year commitment now in place, Goa is positioning itself to become a key hub on India’s motorsport map, blending high-adrenaline racing with the state’s established tourism appeal.
