CURCHOREM: Following complaints from Sharon Fernandes and Anand Jivaji Naik and a threat from Green Goa Foundation (GGF), a flying squad team from Margao consisting of Vishwas Wardkar, Pooja Dessai and Police Constable Surendra Naik visited the hill cutting site at Xelvona on Thursday.
Speaking to media team member Dessai said hill cutting has been found to be done and accordingly they would submit their report to initiate necessary action. When contacted Margao Deputy Collector Ajit Panchwadkar said he will issue notices to the concerned parties after going through the report of the flying squad. “We will initiate necessary action and if necessary FIR will be registered,” Panchwadkar said.
