PANJIM: Former Goa Investment Promotion Board (IPB), CEO, Ashton Godinho (40) passed away on Friday after battling cancer.
Godinho, a top ranker in engineering, was appointed by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar in 2014 to the position of CEO.
In October 2016, Godinho had temporarily vacated his post due to health-related issues, after which Kotwale stepped in to fill his shoes at the IPB.
After Godinho’s sudden resignation, the government on Thursday gave Managing Director of the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited Srinet Kothwale an additional charge of the post of CEO of the IPB and Facilitation Board (Goa-IPB).
Prior to Godinho’s appointment in November 2015, Kotwale had served as IPB’s CEO for nearly a year. Even after Godinho joined, Kotwale continued to be a part of the board in an advisory role.
