The project is taken up by GSIDC at an estimated cost of Rs 1.44 crores under Deendayal Panchayti Raj Infrastructure Development (Golden jubilee) scheme.
On the occasion, Arlekar informed that the land for the project was donated by Dessai family and urged other big landlords from the State to donate their extra land for various government projects as new land acquiring process is not yet finalized and as such various innovative projects of the government are pending.
“Space will be allotted to house offices for animal husbandry and electricity department in the building. Besides, a multipurpose hall which will solve the needs of the local people,” Arlekar said.
