PONDA: Four candidates have so far filed nomination papers for Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) election scheduled on May 12.
The process of filing nomination papers to contest elections to 14 wards of PMC commenced on Thursday with Nilesh Pai and Uddesh Naik filing nomination papers for Ward 9.
On Friday, Yeshwant Khedekar filed nomination papers for Ward 13, while Manjita Mamlekar for Ward 14.
According to information, the last date to file nomination papers is April 25, scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on April 26, while withdrawal will be on April 27.
Election will be held on May 12 and counting on May 13 at Government Sports Complex, Curti-Ponda.
