FRRO Goa Intensifies Crackdown on Illegal Foreigners, 27 Deported So Far in 2026

The Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in Goa has stepped up enforcement operations against illegal foreign nationals staying in the state, leading to the deportation of nine individuals this month alone.

During a targeted inspection drive conducted in Mandrem, officials also identified seven more foreigners who were allegedly overstaying in violation of visa regulations. Authorities said further legal and deportation procedures are being initiated against them.

According to official figures, a total of 27 foreign nationals illegally residing in Goa have been deported so far in 2026 as part of intensified monitoring and verification efforts carried out by the FRRO.

The crackdown forms part of ongoing measures to identify visa violations, overstaying cases, and other immigration-related offences across the coastal state, particularly in tourist hubs frequented by foreign visitors.
