According to investigators, the narcotics were intercepted during operations conducted at the airport, popularly known as Mopa Airport, in North Goa. Authorities suspect the accused were part of a larger international network engaged in trafficking high-value contraband into the country.

While rejecting the bail pleas, the court reportedly took into consideration the seriousness of the allegations, the quantity of narcotics seized, and the ongoing investigation into the wider trafficking syndicate.

The case continues to be under investigation, with agencies probing the source, intended distribution channels, and possible international connections linked to the seized consignment.
