CALANGUTE: The Saligao police on Wednesday nabbed a drug peddler and recovered ganja worth Rs 85,000 from his possesion.

Police stated that they received information that the accused, identified as Abrar Badiger, 22, would be coming to deliver narcotics to a prospective customer near the Catholic cemetery in Saligao at around 1.30 am on Wednesday.
On receipt of the information, a raid was conducted and Badiger was nabbed and narcotic substance suspected to be ganja weighing 850 grams from him.
An offence under section 20(b) (ii)(A) of NDPS Act 1985 has been registered against Badiger.
