The road, part of the Dhavalim-Farmagudi route, is frequently used by tourists visiting the temples at Kavlem and Ramnathi, as well as locals accessing Ponda. However, some individuals have taken advantage of the lack of surveillance to dump waste along the roadside.

Despite regular garbage collection services and fines for open dumping being enforced by the Ponda Municipal Council and the Kavlem Village Panchayat, waste continues to accumulate. This issue is not limited to the service road; internal village roadsides are also affected.

Local residents have urged authorities to take stricter action, suggesting the installation of CCTV cameras along the service road to deter illegal dumping and maintain cleanliness.
