Goa Bachao Abhiyan (GBA) is holding a workshop on village planning
model for the State of Goa as per 73rd and 74th Amendment at Nachinola

panchayat hall beginning May 26.
An expert team from Maithri, Kerala which has experience in conducting
this exercise will be the resource persons, according to coordinator
Sabina Martins.
The three-day workshop is being organized in association with Nachinola
panchayat.
After the Regional Plan 2021 is formulated, each village is supposed
to make their detail settlement plans, GBA said. As per the Panchayati
Raj Act, the villages also have to prepare socio-economic plans. To
understand this process and get the 73rd and 74th amendment
incorporated in the TCP Act, GBA is holding the village planning
workshop, Martins said.
Later, they plan to hold such workshops in other parts of the State.
