MARGAO: Cuncolim police have booked a mini-bus driver and conductor for rash and negligent driving, which resulted in a girl falling out of the bus and suffering injuries.
Police informed that the conductor kept the bus door open, while the driver drove the bus in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from Canacona to Margao. When they reached the Cuncolim KTC bus stand at 5.15 pm, the victim fell from the bus and landed on a kutcha road, due to which she suffered injuries on her right elbow. The driver then fled the scene.
Cuncolim police have registered offences under section 279 and 337 of IPC and section 134 (a) (b), 182(2) of the Motor Vehicles Act against conductor Shahu Kolekar (23) and bus driver Viraj Tubki (28), both from Canacona. The case is under investigation.
