Parsekar, along with the newly elected State Executive Committee, had met Shah on Thursday, following which it was decided to hold a workshop ahead of the BJP-led government completing its fourth anniversary on March 9, 2016.
“The workers will be trained to handle and tackle media criticism. It will help during our campaign for the upcoming CCP polls on March 6 and the ensuing State Assembly elections. The leaders of the respective constituencies will also be taught to address press conferences,” one of the committee members
told Herald.
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, who is already in Goa, will head the meeting, scheduled to be held at BJP headquarters on Saturday. Two workers from each constituency, besides other senior leaders, will attend the training
programme.
“This is also part of the pre-election preparations. Various strategies will be discussed,” the member said.
