Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant successfully underwent an angioplasty procedure at Ruby Hall Clinic on the evening of March 19 after being admitted with complaints of chest pain.
According to hospital authorities, Sawant was admitted to the Pune-based facility at around 6:15 PM. Following initial evaluation, doctors conducted an angiography, which indicated the need for an immediate angioplasty.

The procedure was carried out by a team of cardiologists and was completed successfully at approximately 10:15 PM.
In an official statement, Dr Purvez Grant, Chief Cardiologist and Chairman and Managing Trustee of the hospital, confirmed that the intervention was performed without complications. He added that the Chief Minister’s condition is stable, and he is recovering well under close medical supervision.
Doctors have advised that Sawant remain hospitalised for the next two days for observation. Medical staff continue to monitor his condition closely, hospital officials said.
Further updates on his health are expected to be released by the hospital administration on the morning of March 20.
