The Goa government has taken a significant step towards modernising its civil services by introducing the iGOT (Integrated Government Online Training) platform to enhance the skills and capabilities of its workforce. In line with the national Mission Karmayogi, the initiative aims to foster continuous professional development through structured digital learning. The iGOT Karmayogi platform offers a wide range of online courses tailored for government employees, focusing on upskilling and reskilling to improve service delivery and administrative efficiency.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant recently inaugurated a workshop on the iGOT portal, highlighting its transformative potential and urging active participation from all state employees. The Goa Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (GIPARD) has been appointed as the nodal agency to onboard and train government staff across departments. In addition, the state launched GIPARD’s new Training Management System (TMS), developed in collaboration with the Kerala Institute of Local Administration (KILA), to digitise and streamline training administration across departments. This move is expected to promote a culture of lifelong learning, enabling civil servants to stay updated with evolving governance challenges and better serve the public.
