Chief Minister Pramod Sawant informed the Goa Assembly that the state government has finalised a ₹2-crore airline incentive scheme aimed at improving air connectivity for one year. Under the scheme, airlines operating additional flights or launching new routes to Goa will receive an incentive of approximately ₹2 lakh per flight, including support for new connecting routes. Sawant said the initiative is designed to strengthen both domestic and international connectivity to the state. He clarified that the scheme will be applicable to operations at both Dabolim Airport and Manohar International Airport. Addressing concerns raised by legislators, the Chief Minister categorically stated that Dabolim airport will not be shut down, assuring its continued operation alongside Mopa airport.
