Goa Govt to Launch AI-Powered WhatsApp Chatbot Offering 240 Public Services: IT Minister Rohan Khaunte

In a move to enhance digital governance and improve citizen services, the Goa government is set to launch an AI-powered WhatsApp chatbot that will offer access to over 240 public services.

Announcing the initiative, IT Minister Rohan Khaunte said the chatbot will simplify the process for citizens to obtain various official documents and certificates — such as income certificates, residence proofs, and more — directly through WhatsApp.

“This AI-enabled platform will bring government services to citizens’ fingertips, making the process faster, easier, and more accessible,” Khaunte said.

The chatbot will function as a single-window digital assistant, designed to provide real-time support, streamline service delivery, and reduce the need for physical visits to government offices.

The launch is part of Goa’s broader push towards tech-driven governance and citizen-centric digital transformation.
