Police have registered a case following a complaint filed by Shankar Gogalekar from Dharbandora, alleging serious offences including criminal intimidation, trespass, arson, and vandalism over a monetary dispute.
According to the complaint, the accused, identified as Dayanand, a resident of Khanapur, along with an accomplice, allegedly threatened Gogalekar before forcibly entering his residence.
The accused are said to have set a cupboard on fire, resulting in the destruction of gold ornaments and cash worth ₹2 lakh. In addition, the complainant’s motorcycle was reportedly vandalised during the incident.
The total loss has been estimated at ₹3.5 lakh. Police have initiated an investigation, and further action is expected based on the findings.
